María Goretti Argaez de Guzmán

Maria Goretti de Guzman

Born in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, Maria has been a catechist and teacher since she was 15 years old. She was certified as an elementary teacher from “Educacion y Patria” College in Merida. Maria received Master Catechist recognition in the Archdiocese of Atlanta, and she also has a graduate level certificate in The Theology of the Body from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage & Family at The Catholic University of America. She is a presently studying for a Masters Degree in Pastoral Theology at the University of Dallas. While in Atlanta, Maria served as the Archdiocesan Coordinator for Sponsor Couple marriage preparation in Spanish, and she also was the Hispanic Ministry Religious Education Coordinator at the Cathedral of Christ the King and at Cristo Rey Mission, Atlanta, GA. Maria now resides in Mexico.
